The 7,000 hour mark on my logbook made me sit down in the hangar
I was doing my yearly logbook review in the office at our hangar in Wichita and the total came out to 7,014 hours, which is about 2,000 more than I would have guessed. Most of those hours came from the line work I picked up after my first shop closed down in 2016, doing mostly 100 hour inspections on Cessnas and a stretch of King Air phase checks. For the guys who track their hours closely, do you count the time you spend on paperwork and log entries, or only the time your hands are actually on the airplane?
