Rant: I blew $620 on a fancy borescope kit that sits in my box now

Back in 2019 I dropped $620 on one of those wireless borescope kits at a trade show in Wichita because the rep made it sound like I would use it on every inspection. I used it maybe four times in two years. The screen was tiny, the battery died fast in a cold hangar, and half the time I still grabbed the old rigid scope that came with the shop. Meanwhile a kid I work with got a $90 USB camera that plugs right into his phone and he sees better detail than I ever did. I finally sold mine for $150 to a guy off Craigslist who wanted it for looking inside engine cylinders on his boat. Any of you still using the expensive brand stuff or did you all switch to the cheap phone cameras too?
