Found a hidden stash of original logbooks in a retired 727 in Amarillo

I was helping a guy clean out a hangar outside Amarillo last week and we pulled the panels off an old 727 that's been sitting since 2004, and under the floor there were three original logbooks from 1979 with every engine swap and inspection written in the same mechanic's handwriting, has anyone else ever stumbled on old paperwork hidden in a fuselage like that?

Found a similar setup in a DC-9 that was parked out in New Mexico back in 2019. We were stripping seats and found a plastic bag taped under the jump seat with all the fuel burner logs from 1983. The handwriting matched the same guy for six years straight. It was wild to flip through and see every little oil leak and tire change documented like that. I actually called the airline that used to fly it and they had no idea the originals even existed. Their records only went back to the mid 90s because everything else got shredded. Makes you wonder how many other planes have stuff like that just sitting in the walls. You should get those logbooks scanned before anything happens to them, that paperwork is gold for the right collector.
