Why does nobody talk about how much a $2 temp probe changed my 3D printing game
Three weeks ago I was ready to chuck my printer out the window. Every big print kept warping at the corners and I was sure it was the filament, the bed level, the humidity, all of it. Then a guy at the Micro Center in St. Davids, PA told me to stop guessing and buy a $2 thermocouple probe for my multimeter. I stuck it right on the nozzle and found out my hotend was running 18 degrees hotter than the screen said. That one number explained every stringy blob I'd been fighting for two weeks. I dropped the temp from 210 to 192 and the same roll of PLA suddenly printed like glass. If you're tearing your hair out over bad prints, measure the real nozzle temp before you buy anything new. Anyone else find their printer was lying about temps the whole time?
