That AI art panel at Austin Comic Con last month changed my mind on generators

I went to a talk where a guy showed how he used a local AI generator, not Midjourney, to make backgrounds for his indie comic. Everyone around me was hating on it, saying it was cheating. But I sat there watching him tweak prompts for 20 minutes, and it hit me - the tool is just a shortcut for the boring parts. He still had to fix the hands and color grade everything himself. Has anyone else seen a live demo that actually shifted how you view AI tools?
