That $700 AI video tool I bought in March is basically useless now
I dropped $700 on an AI video generator back in March to speed up client work. It was great for about a month, then the company changed their model and my whole workflow broke. Old prompts produce garbage now, and they want another $300 a year for the 'pro' features I already paid for. I tried reaching support twice, got canned replies both times. Has anyone else had a paid AI tool become obsolete this fast, or did I just pick a bad one?

Noticing how everything's become a subscription now, even things we used to just buy once and own. It's like we're all renting our tools and the landlord can change the rules whenever they want. Same thing happened to me with a photo editing app, it updated and suddenly half my presets were useless unless I paid more. Feels like these companies don't care about making a good product anymore, they just want a steady stream of money forever. You didn't pick a bad one, you just got caught in the trap we're all in now.
