Two years ago I figured those camera systems were just marketing buzz. Then this past winter a manager showed me the screen, and it matched a shoplifter's face from a report filed in under 15 seconds. Anyone else actually see one of these work in real life, or was that a one off?
Wait, under 15 seconds? That is nuts. I always figured those cameras just sat there doing nothing until someone actually got caught. So the thing already had his face saved from a report? That part is what gets me.
