Old copy-paste method took 4 hours, now it's a 20 minute job

I spent the last 3 years manually pulling product descriptions from our supplier PDFs into the website, like 80 items a week and my eyes were done by Thursday. Last month I finally tinkered with an OCR script through our CRM and it reads the PDFs directly, fills the fields, and flags anything weird for review. First run cut it to about 45 minutes, then I tweaked the template and now it's around 20 with way less typos. I still check every batch because nothing's perfect, but honestly it freed up my afternoons. Has anyone else switched to automated data entry and found weird edge cases the AI still messes up?

The barcode field trips me up every time, those supplier PDFs sometimes swap in a wrong code and I catch it only when my stock check screams at me. I built a rule that flags any SKU that doesn't match our master list before it even posts. That one extra check saved me more headaches than the OCR ever caused.
