My art direction emails went from 12 rounds to 3 after I tried an AI moodboard tool

I used to spend entire afternoons pulling reference images and writing long paragraphs trying to explain a vibe to clients. Then last month I started using an AI tool that turns a text prompt into visual boards in minutes. The funny part is, the clients still ask for changes, but the back and forth is way shorter now. My first project with it was a coffee shop rebrand in Austin, and we got the logo direction locked in two days instead of two weeks. But part of me worries this is making my visual taste lazy, like I'm just picking from whatever the AI spits out. Does anyone else feel like AI moodboards speed things up but also flatten your unique style?

Does the tool let you tweak the moodboards after it makes them, or are you stuck with what it gives you? That would make the difference between using it as a shortcut versus letting it run the show. Seems like the real test is whether you can still push back on it.
