My AI writing assistant started adding weird political bias after I updated it last week
I use this AI tool to draft emails and social posts for my small biz. Last Tuesday I updated it to the newest version. Suddenly every draft about basic stuff like parking lot repairs included phrases like "equitable infrastructure" and "community justice." Nothing in my prompt asked for that. I had to manually delete it from 12 emails before sending. Has anyone else seen their AI tools inject random ideology after an update?

Oh come on, you're mad that your AI stopped using boring corporate-speak and actually started reflecting modern values? Updating software means it gets new features, including language that aims to be inclusive and fair. "Equitable infrastructure" is literally describing a parking lot that serves everyone equally, isn't that what you want? If you manually edit out terms like "community justice" you're basically telling the AI to ignore the reality that public spaces affect different people differently. Maybe instead of complaining, you should think about why those words bother you so much. Your business probably benefits from the same systems the AI is trying to describe fairly.

Wait, are we really supposed to just accept that every parking lot repair now needs to be called "equitable infrastructure"? That seems like a pretty big jump from fixing potholes. The thing is, if the AI is adding those words without me asking for them, then it's not really helping me communicate clearly with my customers, it's just pushing its own language preferences. And if I have to manually strip that out every time, well, that update just made my work harder, not easier. Your mileage may vary, but for a small biz owner, those extra edits cost me time and money, plain and simple.
