I saw a demo of a new AI that can write code from a sketch at a tech meetup in Portland.
The presenter drew a basic app layout on a tablet, and the AI generated the front-end code in about 30 seconds, which made me totally rethink how I start my own projects.

Man, I feel old. I remember getting excited because my code editor could auto-close HTML tags. Now they're making whole apps from a doodle. My big tech leap was finally learning CSS grid. This stuff makes my old workflow look like carving stone tablets.

Wow, that reminds me of when CAD first got really good.

Yeah, I used to think AI art was just a gimmick. Like those weird filter apps. But seeing it turn a rough sketch into a full logo layout? That got me. It's not about replacing the artist. It's like having a really fast assistant who tries every color combo you're too tired to test.
