Hot take: a 15 minute voice demo saved me 40 emails on a project
Had a dev in India last month who kept misunderstanding my spec. After 3 rounds of clarifying emails I just sent a 2 minute voice recording explaining the AI model output I needed. He nailed it on the first try after that. Has anyone else found voice notes beat typed communication for technical stuff?

Ha! So we're all just out here playing email ping pong when we could be talking into our phones like normal people. I'm genuinely surprised it took the industry this long to figure out that 2000 words of "clarifying questions" can't hold a candle to 30 seconds of "no, the purple widget goes in the left hole." But hey, at least we got to practice our passive aggressive email writing skills.

Wait, doesn't half the point of working async get lost when people have to listen through some rambling 5 minute voice note? Honestly, I'd rather read a dozen "clarifying questions" than sit through someone mumbling about their weekend before getting to the part about the purple widget.
